The building is near the Harvard Medical School Quadrangle in the Longwood Medical Area (LMA), which is in the Fenway/LMA neighborhood of Boston.
We are affiliated with the Department of Genetics, Harvard Medical School.
Building Access: Enter the New Research Building through the set of doors on the right (glass-and-steel overhang above you). You should see a set of slate stairs in front of you (a lobby and beyond that, the rotunda are to your left). The main security desk is up the stairs to the right, past the cafeteria (on your left). First-time visitors will need to call a DRSC staff member from the lobby or security desk.
Getting Here by Car: Please use an on-line mapping tool for up-to-date directions. Hourly parking is available in area garages (fees apply).
Getting Here by Subway (the T): Take the Green Line "D" train to the Longwood stop or the Green Line "E" train to the Longwood Medical Area stop.
M2 Bus (Harvard Square to LMA): The M2 bus runs a route from the LMA to Harvard Square in Cambridge and back again, with stops at MIT and Central Square in Cambridge, and a few other locations along the way. Free to Harvard ID holders or purchase passes in the LMA. Click for details.
